: F) Power to the people!
: Allow some more mechanical properties of the game to be modified in text files. Tech, buildings, wonders, game limit, etc.... This would obviously open it up to create a lot more mods, rather than changing the tribes and letting aliens reinvent the wheel.
If there is a single feature missing to this game, that's exactly the above.
Don't be lured into thinking a true scenario editor wouldn't add anything valuable to the gameplay experience. In fact, control over these parameters by modding the rule-set externally can only prove fairly good AIs actually ARE strong enough to handle that much "power".
A necessary evil, but an awesome customization process.
Civ had it - so should cEvo, somehow! :)
Besides, i'd be very curious to see **HOW** Steffen would (if ever!) design an almost similar editing capacity for scenarios - knowing how great the current code is already.
